Grammar is the basis for all human languages and language learners are often expected to achieve an acceptable level in grammar. Moreover, teaching grammar is the main component of instruction in the earliest methods known. Even the communicative approach, the teaching approach which is widely accepted today, does not ignore grammar. It must be reminded however that grammar was thought as unimportant and laid aside during a short period; however, shortly after, researchers and authors realized that without teaching grammar, language learning would be of poor quality. So they turned back to grammar. These all shows the significance of grammar and that mastery over grammar could help the learner out with comprehending and producing language. This paper here seeks to present a framework for evaluating coursebooks of teaching Persian grammar. It makes up out of Keck and Kim (2014) a framework for evaluating grammar coursebooks and introduces it. The framework was named “Kem” by the author of this paper and is composed of 28 scale questions. It is made up of two main part: explanations and activities.
